This week, the bipartisan U.S.-China Working Group hosted His Holiness the Dalai Lama to get an update on the situation in Tibet. Working Group members offered the Dalai Lama their continued support for the preservation of Tibetan culture and identity, and congratulated him for winning the first Lantos Human Rights Prize.

I have known the Dalai Lama for more than 20 years and wish him great success on his mission to bring peace to the people of Tibet.
